Jeff,

Thanks for the information. I've sent Adam an email, and we'll see what he says. I appreciate it!

Also, I just sent you a couple of emails with some more detailed questions.

Thanks!

Tom, glad you enjoy the site. I get a lot of pleasure from it, partly the writing, but more the interchange with others like you in the community. Hopefully there will be more visitors and interchange as the word gets out.

To answer your question, yes. I always have special ordered. Just email Adam at info@gsmphonesource.com. He generally responds pretty fast. His prices are competitive; what I like about him is honesty and service.

MobilePlanet aka Expansys US is OK. I order stuff from them, but not cutting (bleeding) edge stuff like this. The reason is I have had bad experiences getting the straight scoop from them about availability. I think I'm getting it in 2 weeks, then it's 4, then it's 6. By contrast, I've always gotten the straight scoop from Adam.

Good luck however you choose.

Thanks! I've used MobilePlanet in the past and had decent success. Glad to know about another option, though I didn't see the phone listed on the GSMPhoneSource site at the moment. Did they do a special order for you?

Great site, by the way!

Tom, I bought it from Adam at GSMPhone Source:
http://www.gsmphonesource.com/
info@gsmphonesource.com

I've bought about 10 devices from Adam. His word and follow through have always been good. I'm sure there are reputable sellers, but I tend to stay with vendors who have worked out well rather than experimenting with new ones. Why fix what ain't broke?

There's no question that the Xperia X1 is a hot device. However, according to the articles I've seen, it won't be out until the second half of the year. That's a long time from now.
