PodTrapper for BlackBerry

I spend a lot of time in my car going from home to work, work to home, and work to other work. I use what otherwise would be down time to learn more about the tech world through podcasts.

If you have a BlackBerry, you might want to take a look at the podcast application I use on my BlackBerry Storm, PodTrapper. I like PodTrapper because it is reliable, is simple to use and has a companion desktop application to speed up downloading of podcasts (and bypassing your carrier’s data charges).

So which tech podcasts do I listen to?

I just started, so only two so far: MeetMobility and gdgt. MeetMobility focuses on MIDs and mobile access. gdgt is more generally gadget oriented.

I want to add more. Which podcasts do you listen to?

Back to PodTrapper, it’s only $9.99, and there is a trial version. There are free alternatives, such as Viigo. However, in my opinion, the one thing PodTrapper does, podcasts, it does better than Viigo and competitors.

PodTrapper is for the BlackBerry OS. Of course, there are other excellent podcast applications for other OS’s, such as Windows Mobile. Which podcast application do you use?

  • Some good podcasts are Mobile Tech Round Up, the Engadget podcast, and Maximum PC’s podcast. I just use my iPhones built in podcast function.

    • Thanks MiKeN! I’ve tried MOTR before but had problems hearing some of the panelists. I’ll try again. I chose Engagdet Mobile over its Engadget and Engadget HD siblings. Thanks again!
