What a Difference a Day Makes is a lover’s rejoice over a new love. But I’m a gadget geek. I’m also married to a wife who wouldn’t appreciate my rejoicing over a new love. So my focus is (and better be) different. And it is.
Less than 24 hours ago I lamented in T-Mobile 3GSM uber AT&T? that none of the new super phones, including Google’s Nexus One, were going to AT&T. But today BGR, in Google Nexus One to rock out on AT&T?, tells us:
“This isn’t completely confirmed, but we’ve heard from a source that there will be an AT&T 3G-compatible version of the Google Nexus One. Our connect described it as being a “second” unlocked model, with the T-Mobile-subsidized unit being locked to T-Mobile.”
I sure hope this is true. Though I’m not sure I’d spend $530 for an unlocked version of this device, given other options. Nevertheless, it’s nice to have a choice.
Maybe we’ll learn more at Google’s press conference on January 5. But maybe January 5 will be all about TMo, and we won’t know until later. The only non-maybe is … I don’t know.
