I’ve written before about Rob Bushway. In addition to being one of the all time nice guys, he’s the Editor-in-Chief for GottaBeMobile. But that’s not what’s keeping him busy these days. One of his children, Maggie, had a brain tumor removed some time ago. Unfortunately, Maggi’s seizures have returned. Rob and his wife Kathi are with Maggie in St. Louis where Maggie is receiving top notch neurological treatment.

GottaBeMobile advises:

GottaBeMobile is one of my very favorite sites for mobile news, and GBM’s Editor-in-Chief, Rob Bushway, is one of the all time nice guys. GBM and Rob have very kind to this blog, publicizing it several times on GBM.

The kindness continues. GBM’s post Thanks, Jeff Kent! recognizes my dubious contributions in the GBM forums as well as this blog.

Check out the GBM forums. You’ll see me (named GenghisKhent naturally) hanging out in the Fujitsu forum (because of my P1620), and lurking (and sporadically contributing) in the Dell, HP, OQO and other forums.

What I truly like about the GBM forums are the people are knowledgeable and helpful and there is no flaming. I guess Rob’s niceness has rubbed off on the rest of us GBM’ers.

So if you’re not a member, join the GBM forums. You won’t be rejected. After all, they accepted me.

This is the second time in one day I’ve written about John Hill of Allegiance Technology Partners. This time it’s about his major upgrade of TabletPCBuzz. That site used to be one of my favorites, but then it became stagnant. John took it over and now has upgraded the site. The search feature in particular is much faster. Rob Bushway of GottaBeMobile, which is one of my two favorite sites along with jkOnTheRun, kindly mentioned in Inking Not Working in Office? the recent posts here on my travails in fixing inking in Office 2007 as well as the vLite tutorial. Rob is one of the truly nice guys. Besides, the GottaBeMobile forum is one of the few places on this planet that accepts me as a member (at least so far).

GottaBeMobile is one of my two favorite sites (the other is jkOnTheRun). Indeed, when GottaBeMobile was down a few days ago (a very rare occurrence), I went through TPCIW (Tablet PC Information Withdrawal).

Rob Bushway of GottaBeMobile kindly (mercifully?) mentioned this blog to his readers: Blogs to Watch: Mobile Barbarian. It’s getting real lonely here. The main visitors so far have been spammers (never name a post Size Matters) and placements from the Witness Protection Program (since no one will ever find them here). Perhaps now we can have more lively discussions!
